Rocco John

Rocco has been a teaching artist for many years. He successfully runs residencies, Jazz workshops, masterclasses and interactive community  bands. He has run a multiweek residency in Talkeetna Alaska  with a culminating concert since 2007, creating the TJO (Talkeetna Jazz Orchestra).

He has presented composers workshops in Messina Italy, composed for the Filarmonica, and performed there at the Filarmonica Laudamo with his Quintet.

Rocco especially likes to bring people together through music, welcoming all musicians to gather together, learn new tunes, interact through Jaz and create new bonds. His wife, Denise Iacovone paints the music during performance and often runs Art workshops touching on improvisation and experimentation
